Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Molly and her littermate Maggie were never handled much by their previous owner; the family moved away and left Molly and Maggie behind, and animal control had to tranquilize the pups to capture them. Molly has been receiving extra attention and activities here at our shelter, provided by our volunteers. She goes on car rides to town, and has been to visit the local farm supply store where dogs on leash are welcomed. Molly has made great progress, but still has more work to do. She would benefit from a normal home environment where she could get lots of one-on-one attention and daily activities to build her confidence in humans. Molly gets along great with other dogs, she is submissive, both with other pets and with humans. We are planning to start a project this coming week with school-age children sitting with Molly and Maggie and reading children's books to Maggie and Mollie, as a way of encouraging non-threatening interaction with humans to build the dogs' self-confidence and trust in humans. Email us with questions about fostering or adopting Molly (or Maggie) at redskyresq@gmail.com.
