Daffy's Story...
Hey there! My name is Daffy! I'm so happy to meet you! I have lived a life on chain until the great people from the Humane Society of Union County stepped in and took me into their organization! I lived a lonely life on that chain with hardly any interaction with people or food. I'm so grateful and happy to be free now!!! I love humans and dogs and love to please so training me is a breeze. I am house and crate trained and stay very quiet in my crate. I love to play and get loved on. My foster mom says she loves the pads of my feet because they are so squishy. Haha, she's weird! I am spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, weigh 42lbs (I think I am the perfect size!), and a yellow lab mix. Some people like to call me Diamond because of my cute patch of pink skin on my nose. I would really love to have a fenced in back yard so I never have to worry about being on a chain again. I really love to run free in the yard. It feels soooo good!!! Please consider me for your new furry family member. I promise to always love you! Fill out an adoption application for me on the HSUC website www.hs-uc.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daffy, a Monroe Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Monroe, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Monroe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Monroe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Monroe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Monroe paves the way for another one to be saved.
