Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ADOPTION PENDING Toby is a young male, about 1.5 years old who was found emaciated when he was turned in to animal control. When we picked up this handsome man, it seemed as though he would not walk on a leash and was timid of any movement.
He went to the vet and received a clean bill of health. The vet told us he was healthy, just behind on the nutrition front. He weighed only 59 pounds and is a tall dog. We gave Toby a bath, which he seemed to enjoy, and he began to blossom.
Within hours, he was walking better on a leash, and he began to hold his tail out. His awesome nose knew where all the food was in the house and he gobbled it up.
He is a typical Bluetick, friendly and smart. He likes to bark in his crate for about 20 minutes, then will settle down and sleep through the night. This poor guy probably never saw the inside of a house.
His new foster parents are already beginning his basic training, and it seems as though he will be a quick study. He already learned to leave the cat alone, and did great with his foster shepherd mix brother.
We got him on March 19th and he will be neutered soon, along with a dental exam and cleaning.
He is gorgeous now, and when he gains the ten or so pounds he needs, he will be stunning! Find out how you can meet Toby the Bluetick below!
