My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Maverick! This little man was about to be euthanized at a high kill facility in Roswell, NM, but luckily we were able to bring him into our rescue before that happened! Maverick was adopted to a very great family back in 2015 but they have small kiddos and Maverick is a little too hyper to be around little babies. His current family is hanging on to him until they can find him the perfect home. Here's what they have to say:

Hi I'm Maverick and I'm super sweet! I love to be called "Bat-Mav" while you sing the Batman theme song because I have the best ears! I'm really energetic so to keep up with me I need a really great fitness routine that involves the bike or a good run. If I don't I tend to get myself in trouble with all the extra energy I contain. I do know some tricks and I am definitely potty trained. I'm not very big (all 42 lbs. of me) but I think I'm pretty tough. I am neutered, microchipped, and super healthy! Some of my favorite things are curling up in a ball next to my human, chasing a ball, playing tug-o-war, and TOYS (lots of them)! I love food and will do anything for it. I'm an awesome dog but prefer to play with older children and humans, and I'd really love to be an only-dog And please no cats or bunnies. We don't see eye to eye!! I can't wait to meet you!!
