Twiggy's Story...
Twiggy was on the list to be put to sleep the next day when we got a text to save her that night. Of course how could we not with such a sweet little face. She was a stray and no one came for her. This little girl is very timid when she first meets you and within a few minutes will be non stop kissing you. She looks to be an Italian greyhound mixed with Chihuahua. She has such long legs. She is about 9 months old and 10lbs, she is full grown. She is fully vetted meaning current on all shots, fixed, heartworm negative, micro chipped and on monthly prevention. She would blossom best in a home without very young children as all the noise would be very scary to her. She is waiting for a loving lap and couch to call home for good.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Twiggy, a Ashburn Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua for sale in Ashburn, or seeking a Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Ashburn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ashburn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ashburn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua breeders who help with Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ashburn paves the way for another one to be saved.
