About Pongo:
Pongo is a super sweet puppy with a pair of sparkling bright eyes and shiny coat! He is lovable, playful, and smart by nature. However, Pongo had a tough start in life. He was very skittish and reserved when we first met him. It took us a while to gradually bond with him, and then guided him to interact with humans and other dogs. Finally, he came out of his shell thru the lead of leash and an outgoing puppy that befriended him. Pongo quickly learned to appreciate the good feelings of cuddling and showing affection with his foster family. He becomes very sociable; he’s comfortable around strangers but he is still hesitant to be petted by strangers. He loves the companionship of children. The 6-y-o little girl in his foster home is his best friend; they were bonded on the first day Pongo joined the foster family; then took another week or so for him to open up to the whole family members. Now happy and playful, Pongo enjoys the companion of dogs pals in his foster home too. His favorite pastime is hanging out with playmates in dog park and his daily walks.

About Pongo’s rescue:
Pongo was born to a stray mother dog; they lived by the riverside. A volunteer was regularly feeding the strays in the area; she also did TNR (trap/neuter/release) for the dogs hoping to cut down the stray population as best as she could.
Thankfully, Pongo’s mom was trapped and spayed successfully. We place the mother dog and 2-m-o Pongo with foster homes, where they received loving care and structure training.

Pongo has since been trained to socialize and learn good house manners. Please watch Pongo’s videos to learn how much fun this sweet pup can bring to your family. He will not disappoint you as long as he’s given a chance!
