Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Evy
Breed: Lab
Age: Adult
Gender: Female
Evy has about every strike in the adoption book against her...middle aged, a little chunky, not very eye catching, an old, healed leg injury causing an occasional gimp to her step, and came into rescue with heartworm (treated and healing well). Now that we've listed all her strikes against her, let us tell you why within 5 minutes of meeting her you're going to want her anyways. In short, she is incredible. Evy is amazing with people. She has endless tolerance and patience. She stepped off a long transport ride up to MN, was put in another car for a long ride, and then immediately in the bathtub to wash the filth of her...and in the bath she wiggled and scratched herself against the hands petting her and passed out kisses. There are not many dogs with that level of tolerance and patience. Evy adores the kids though she tends to be a better snuggle buddy than a playmate, she will happily vacuum up their crumbs, share their popcorn on movie nights, and be the best secret keeper they could ever ask for. Evy is excellent with other dogs and cats though prefer low-key pets like herself rather than the pesky puppies up in her face. Even still, the puppy jumps on her and she just sighs and lets him without so much as a growl. Evy is working on her housetraining but was previously an outside dog so the house is newer to her. She crates quietly for the workday but likely doesn't need it once her housetraining is finished up. She loves dog beds, walks, and being with her people. If a quiet, mellow, gentle middle-aged girl who loves to snuggle sounds like your kind of girl, Evy would love you to email us to set up a meeting. Be warned though, she steals hearts!
