Patches's Story...

Our beautiful boy Patches is still in need of a home. he is 3 yrs old, 12 lbs and a complete love bug. He is a purebred shihtzu, up to date medically now and neutered. He is also microchipped. He is perfect for an older person or couple or someone who lives in an apartment or town home. He loves to walk on leash and adores car rides. He is dog selective but he does do well in foster care with 9 other dogs. He needs a strong pack leader who can let him know he isn't in charge. He is very attention hungry. If you sit he sits on you or beside you. He is not food aggressive. He needs his person because he is so full of love to give. Please if you are interested in him email us at sscfwv@gmail.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Patches, a Charleston Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Charleston, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Charleston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charleston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charleston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charleston paves the way for another one to be saved.
