My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bear #2 is a 9 year-old neutered male black lab. Bear #2 weighs 87 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.

Bear arrived at his fosters yesterday and they are already in love. He was wonderful in the car, gentle on lead (although he has stayed close when they have let the leash go), and generally a happy low-key guy. He isn't a big eater and doesn't care if his roommate cleans his bowl. He thinks people are more interesting than cats and didn't respond at all to the token hiss and growl from the resident blind cats. He is totally housebroken, but once outside does like to autograph all available shrubs and trees. He isn't big on toys and prefers to sleep a crate with an open door. Bear was a little unsure about the stairs to the second floor, taking them very slowly as if he had not been on stairs before, and needed encouragement from his roomie and treats to come back down; he seems perfectly capable, just unpracticed.

Bear is easy on leash and a good rider. He is house trained and crate trained but does not need it. Good with dogs and cats, approved for kids 10 and up.
