Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This handsome blonde long hair boy is Toby, 11 years, 14 pounds. The only owner Toby has known is 94 years old and no longer able to care for him. Toby was very devoted to his person but has adjusted in rescue after a fairly short time, is now fond of his foster parents. Toby has a complex doxie personality. He's a great boy 95 per cent of the time -- happy, easy going, enjoys pets, cuddling on the sofa with his foster dad and the other dogs. However, Toby is a resource guarder with a thing for paper products. Talk about complex! If Toby claims a dropped napkin or similar, he will protect it to the point of snapping. If not challenged, he'll leave it alone in a short time, perhaps in more than one piece. Toby needs a doxie savvy owner with no other pets -- or perhaps one mild-mannered dog -- who'd enjoy having a doxie companion to hang out with, take walks and naps, would be best for Toby. He'd really like a chance to have his own home again. Please reach out and/or submit an application at http://www.almosthomerescue.org/onlineforms/adoptform.htm if you think you may be able to open your heart and home to Toby. His adoption fee is $125 to help rescue with some of his vetting.
