Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Patch. As you can see, he is a gorgeous, purebred Border Collie. This handsome guy is a quiet, mellow fellow. He is great with his small to medium sized 19 lb Havanese / Terrier mix female dog friend, Bonnie. He is also good with cats too. He is a little shy at first when he first meets you but, in minutes, he warms up to you and will come up to be petted. Patch is an older adult neutered male and came to us underweight at only 40 lbs. He is gaining healthy weight with us now and doing very well.
Bonnie and Patch came to us as an owner surrender; their owner is moving and unfortunately, these two were not able to go to along to their new place. We were told that Bonnie and Patch are both housetrained. They are a pleasure to walk on the leash and they do love to go for walks. It would be great if we could find a home for the both of them to go to together. However, if a good home comes along for one individually, we might consider placing them separately.
This being said, Bonnie would do best in a home with another compatible dog. She likes to go along with her owner whenever possible. She is a people person dog. Bonnie and Patch are also crate trained and both are good with cats.
Patch is neutered, current on vaccinations and is microchipped. We would love to see Patch and his friend Bonnie find a great home and have a second chance at a great life. Bonnie will win your heart with her happy attitude and Patch is a gorgeous laid back Collie as her companion.
If you are interested in adopting Patch, please visit our website, www.friendsofcanines.org and check out our adoption process and complete an adoption application. If you have any further questions, feel free to e-mail us at rescue@friendsofcanines.org.
The adoption fee for Patch is $150. Thank you for considering one of our foster pets.
