Coal's Story...
Coal is a five month old, twenty-eight pound Shepherd mix who was saved by a good Samaritan in Kentucky. Coal's original owners were either going to send Coal to a shelter or give him away for free on Facebook because their older dog didn't get along with this sweet boy. As like most Shepherds, Coal is an active little boy and would do best with an active family to expend his energy.

Coal does great with other dogs and enjoys romping and playing with them. Who's going to show Coal what a forever family truly means?!?!!?! If you would like to meet him, please go to our website at and fill out an online adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Coal, a Cincinnati Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
