Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hemmingway is a big fluffy 4-year-old boy who is looking for a new home. He was surrendered to a humane society due to his owner's health issues and wasn't doing well in a shelter environment so we were asked to take him into foster care. Some people might describe him as ‘fat’, but really that just means there’s just more of him to love. Plus Hemmingway loves to be picked up and with his added weight, you’ll develop upper arm muscles in no time. So you’ll get a work-out and a cuddle at the same time – 2 for the price of 1!
Hemmingway can take a little while to warm up to someone new, but when he chooses you as his person, he will follow you around everyone meowing at the top of his lungs almost saying “pay attention to me now”. Hemmingway is the perfect companion for someone who wants a cat who is giant attention loving baby. Hemmingway loves to have his fat little belly rubbed, almost like a dog. Hemmingway gets along well with other cats and is fine with low energy dogs. He is an indoor cat. Probably best not to go to a home with young kids.
Hemmingway is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed rescue. The adoption donation is $165. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. Please fill out our Adoption Form if you are interested.
