Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Adoption Pending. Meet handsome Carter!!! Carter was originally a stray in a town with a pit bull ban. He was found running the streets with a traumatic eye injury. Carter's eye was removed, but please do not feel sorry for him, because it does not hinder him. Carter came to Nebraska and was adopted. The family recently got a new dog and decided they had no room for Carter. Carter is in a foster home and he is blossoming. Sometimes it just takes the right environment for a dog to shine. Carter is house and crate trained. Carter is such a smart boy and he learns very quickly. He knows sit and shakes with both paws. He has a chair he likes to sleep in and he will not get out until his foster tells him he can get up in the morning. Carter is a happy morning boy and loves to go for a brisk walk or run when you are ready to take him. Carter's foster is working on his leash manners and he is figuring it out! Carter really wants to please people. Carter loves people and wants to be around them. Carter is currently living with another dog and gets along with her. His foster sister loves to chase him! :) Carter should have a proper meeting with all dogs in the home. He may need supervision with toys and human affection. He does not get jealous, but sometimes hogs the attention. Older children who are considerate of pets would be preferred for Carter. Carter is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. If you are looking for a smart best friend....this is your dog! Carter is with Paws Up of Nebraska and more information can be found here: www.pawsupofnebraska.org
