My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ranger is an 8 year old neutered male black lab who weighs 64 pounds. No real cat history but he ignored the cats at the shelter so he may be good with cats. He is good with other dogs. He did well with all of the other visitors at the shelter. No kid history so approved for kids 10 and up. He could lose a few pounds. He would do best in a rural or suburban environment but does not require a fenced yard.

Ranger is a handsome gentleman looking for a new family to love and dote on. He is playful and loving with everyone he meets. He is housetrained and is not a barker. He is a sweet soul who doesn't want to be a lone Ranger anymore.

Ranger was returned after his adopter realized his lifestyle wasn't good for a dog. The single young male said Ranger was everything he was claimed to be: chill, affectionate and has wonderful manners. His new foster reports that he fit in immediately and is totally trustworthy in the home.

This 8-year-old sweetheart is silky soft, loves people and dogs, is cat approved, loves to cuddle, enjoys belly rubs and butt scratches, is housebroken, doesn’t chew or counter surf, adores car rides, can be left for a full workday, and is completely trustworthy when left alone. To top it all off, he is so stinkin’ adorable! He is also very resourceful. Look at the gallery to see how Ranger turned the top of his crate into the perfect observation post to view out the window.

Ranger Danger! Beware: This sweet pup will steal your heart. He has a cute delicate face, soft velvety ears, and adorable white eyebrows. He likes to greet other dogs during walks and is very respectful of others in the dog park. He loves to look out the windows and is never in a hurry to go back inside when he’s out. This smart pup is learning new commands like sit, stay, and come and is highly treat motivated. He walks best with an easy walk harness and often has his nose to the ground as he takes in all the interesting smells. If you want an easygoing cuddly pup, Ranger might be the guy for you!

Ranger is a sweet, laid-back Lab with a big smile. He does enjoy spending time outside, wandering around and sniffing everything. He's not much for exercise but he can't resist a good scent. Ranger likes to meet and greet people but after a few minutes of excitement he will go find a comfy place where he can look out a window. Other than watching the world go by, Ranger really enjoys a butt scratch and may roll over for a tummy rub. He will carry a tennis ball around for a little while but hasn’t shown much interest in playing fetch.
