daffy's Story...
Well Spring has sprung a wee bit early here at Close to Home because our petite and sweet Momma, Blossom has delivered us some real beauties! Blossom is a small to medium sized adorable and loving mother who's guessed to be an Australian Shepherd mixed with something special! Who knows, but she's a keeper! She guessed to be approximately 1-2 years old and a perfect size at 30 lbs. She has brought into this world a beautiful mix of babies. Introducing the boys, first we have "Bud", gotta start somewhere, then we have Leaf, with our little Rain and last but not least our boy Thorn. From all this we have perfected the girls, just in time for Easter, our gorgeous little Daffodil (Daffy) and Tulip! They are all a mix of mom and dad, not sure of all breeds, but that's the best kind, always so much fun to watch them grow and sprout into something unique! They are approx 8-10 weeks old and can be seen this Saturday in West Milford at Pequannock Feed and Pet Supply from 11 to 2 and Sunday 12-4 at Pet Supplies Plus in Oakland.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

daffy, a Pompton Lakes Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Pompton Lakes, or seeking a Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Pompton Lakes.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pompton Lakes already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pompton Lakes breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pompton Lakes paves the way for another one to be saved.
