Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Coco aka Cocoa-Bean, as my foster mom has nicknamed me.
I share my foster home with two human adults and two other big dogs. Even though I like to run and play with the other dogs I honestly would probably be happiest as your one and only. Did I mention that I'm a 60 lb lap dog? tee hee hee! I love to lay close to you and even on your lap if you'll let me.
I'm a sweet,, lovable Chocolate Lab/Hound mix, only 10 years old, and I'm in such excellent health you'd never guess my age. I love to explore and chase squirrels up the trees so a secure, fenced yard is a must! I enjoy walks and am working on my leash-manners. I really enjoy being with my special person, whether that's being in the yard with you, or cuddling in the house, I just really love my people.
I am perfectly house-trained and know some basic commands like "Sit" and "Come." My foster family is teaching me some new things like "Stay," "Down," and "Go to your Bed. " (Like, who doesn't want to cuddle on a big, comfy dog bed?!)
I attach to my humans very quickly; so expect me to be your shadow. Although, when you're not home I'm fine with free roam of the house and will simply curl up and nap while I wait patiently for you to return. Then I will greet you with a hound-like bawl and a happy wagging tail. What better welcome home could you ever ask for?!
I love my people so much that sometimes I sit in front of them, gazing at them with love before falling asleep. My foster mom says I'm so silly and adorable when I do that.
One of the important rules at Izzy's Place is that I am never to be allowed outside alone, especially when you're not home. I must always be an inside dog when you are at work or anywhere else. This is an important rule for all foster dogs, but especially for us hound mixes who love to dig and will find anyway to explore outside.
If you're interested in adopting Coco, please visit our website at www.izzysplacedogrescue.com. Go to the Adopt Page and submit the Adoption Application. Each dog resides in a foster home. We do not have a kennel/shelter and we are 100% volunteer so we appreciate your patience as we review your application.
