Oliver's Story...
Hi- My name is Oliver! I am a very friendly loving cat- I am about 5-6 years old. I was found wondering the streets-somehow I got lost- My foster family has tried everything to find my owners but no one has claimed me. I am neutered, up to date on vaccines, and Negative for Fiv/Felv. I am currently living with other cats- which is okay I don't fight with them but I would prefer to be someone's one and only!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oliver, a Lake Ronkonkoma American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Lake Ronkonkoma, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Lake Ronkonkoma.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lake Ronkonkoma already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lake Ronkonkoma breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lake Ronkonkoma paves the way for another one to be saved.
