Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hikari is a smiley, fun-loving 5-year-old male black and tan Shiba Inu, whose family put him in a shock collar when they moved to a rural area. The collar didn’t work and he kept getting out, so fortunately his family asked DC SIR to find a new home for him. He previously lived in a home with other pets, including cats, and DC SIR thinks he could do great in a home with other friendly pets! Hikari is thriving in foster care and lives in an apartment with his foster mom as the only pet. She says he loves brushing and belly rubs. Hikari is great with body handling and gets very excited when his foster mom comes home, even bringing her a toy to greet her. Hikari is very active and loves to run and play! This sweet boy will be very popular since he’s so cute and friendly.
If you think you could be his forever family, fill out an application and send it to adoption@dcsir.org.
