My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Maximus and all my friends call me Max. I weigh about 6lbs and am about 6 months old. I was a stray in Modesto and ended up in the Stanislaus shelter. I'm a very spunky little guy and I love to play with toys, my foster mom and all my foster siblings. I like all the dogs here especially my foster mom's Pitbull, Daisy. She lets me chew on her ears and face and then we take a nap together! When I'm done playing for the day, I go find my foster mom and snuggle with her. I stay in a crate while she's gone at work and then her dog nanny comes and lets me out at lunchtime. I already know how to sit, wait for my food and am working on down and stay. I also walk nicely on a leash! I love to run in the grass and play tag with the other dogs, it's fun! I'd love to find a furever home with you!
