Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB February 15, 2012.
J-Roc is a big teddy bear! He went through full maturity before being neutered and as a result he has these giant cheeks that are SO cute. He is perfectly content lounging around all day in his favourite spots waiting for his humans to come home. He will greet you at the door without fail, and lets out a couple meows as if to say "Hello, welcome home, now pay attention to me!".
J-Roc is an extremely easy-going cat. He doesn't mind doing his own thing if you're busy, but loves to be around you. If you have even one hand available you can expect him to be by your side asking politely for you to scratch his cheeks, he seriously cannot get enough of head scratches!
Aside from that his favourite things are Temptation treats (shake the bag and he's there), and playing with string or trying to catch the thing under the blankets (toes). He sleeps at the foot of his humans bed and protects them from harm at night, and will wake you up in the morning by trying to catch your toes. For this reason he needs his nails trimmed regularly, he doesn't mean any harm, but boy do those nails hurt if they get sharp!
J-Roc was rescued from a hoarding situation and because of this he is very shy at first and likes to have hiding spots. But don't worry, in a week or two his charming personality will really start to show!
J-Roc has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV+ cats can live long happy lives with a good diet, low stress, indoor homes, loving families, and annual vet check-ins. He does not require medication. He can live in a home with other non-FIV+ cats, as the virus is only passed to other cats by blood (ie. deep bite marks). Please do not judge him based on a blood test! Please give this little dude his forever home today!
His foster family warns: "J-Roc turns anyone into a cat lover!". Adopt this wonderful feline into your home today!
