Facts about Shelly

  • Breed: Calico
  • Color: Calico Or Dilute Calico
  • Age: Senior
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: F17-0008
  • Hair: Medium
Shelly was well loved by her humans, but not by the other animals in the family. When a physical move was necessary they decided to try and give Shelly a more appropriate home where she could relax and not be intimidated by the other dogs and cats, so they asked us to rehome her for them. Shelly is very leery of strangers and animals (naturally) but is a sweetheart by herself and would be best as an only pet in her new home. She is 10 years old, vocal and healthy --UTD on vaccinations--and has been an indoor cat only. A lovely girl who really needs a new, understanding home. Recently she has been able to contact and play with our mellower cats and she is starting to interact and get more comfortable. She would probably be fine with kind animals.
There is no adoption fee for our animals, but a donation to Friends is always much needed and much appreciated.

About Friends of Plumas County Animals

About Our Rescue Group...

Friends of Plumas County Animals is a non profit 501(c)3 organization We are dedicated to improving the lives of the impounded animals in the local shelter and to reducing the number of unwanted/homeless animals through spay and neuter programs. When we volunteered at the local county shelter we built outdoor enclosures and play yards for the dogs and cats. Currently, Friends takes animals into our own rescue site where we spay and neuter, give first vaccinations and then re-home the animals. When we have the available monies we also help those in need of financial assistance spay and neuter their personal pets. Our adoptable animals are offered with no adoption fee to approved homes, and we survive on the generous donations of our adopters and supporters. We are currently creating a "home of our own" in which to house adoptable animals-- offering a home to sick, elderly, young and special needs animals with the goal of improving their chances of finding a new home.
