Shelly was well loved by her humans, but not by the other animals in the family. When a physical move was necessary they decided to try and give Shelly a more appropriate home where she could relax and not be intimidated by the other dogs and cats, so they asked us to rehome her for them. Shelly is a sweetheart by herself and would be best as an only pet in her new home. She is 13 years old, vocal and healthy --has had vaccinations until rescue--and has been an indoor cat only. A lovely girl who really needs a new, understanding home. Recently she has been able to contact and play with our mellower cats and she is starting to interact and get more comfortable. She would probably be fine with kind animals. Shelly has also been asking for more human attention and LOVES to be brushed! She recently was petted al lot by young girls and was fine with them. She really has potential to fit into a new home and needs a chance for a family.
We have now had Shelly for almost 3 years. She runs the place. Shelly has actually needed the security and consistency that our rescue has given her and she has really blossomed in the time she has spent with the volunteers at Friends.She can be petted and brushed by anyone (brave), was actually RUNNING down the hallway in pure cat joy the other night and scrambling up the cat trees. She was happy. Shelly can be happier in a real 24 hour a day home...Please, let's give this girl a chance at a family of her own.
There is no adoption fee for our animals, but a donation to Friends is always much needed and much appreciated.
OUR PHYSICAL BUILDING HAS BEEN SOLD AND WE NEED TO MOVE. SO FAR, HAVE NO WHERE TO GO AND SHELLY AND SHEILA NEEDS GOOD HOMES ASAP!!! PLEASE GIVE THIS GIRL HER LAST REAL HOME...
