SuzyQ's Story...
Suzy Q is a sweet, shy girl looking for a quiet, patient and loving forever home. It is easy to overlook a shy black cat but, boy, would that be a mistake! Suzy Q takes some time to warm up to new people and places, that is true, so she may stay in hiding for a few weeks before showing you her true colors. Once warmed up to you though, Suzy Q is super sweet and affectionate! She loves having her ears and cheeks rubbed and will purr away, nestled up close to you. This lovebug could potentially live with a mellow male feline who will let her be the boss but would do best without any dogs, she is just too timid. Suzy Q would do best in an adult only as she likes things to stay quiet, but a mellow, respectful teenager could be considered. While it may take some time to build a bond, Suzy Q will return your love tenfold and will be the most loyal and devoted companion! If you'd like to spend some time getting to know Suzy Q, please bring an adoption application to the front desk so you can meet her!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SuzyQ, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
