Rosie's Story...
Meet Rosie! She is about 1 year old and is a spayed Chihuahua/min-pin mix. Rosie is a very loyal girl and loves to be the center of your attention! She would prefer her future home to be calm and quiet, most likely without many visitors as she becomes nervous around strangers. She is a super sweet and fun girl if she is comfortable around you. Rosie is an active girl and loves to exercise - the more the better! Regarding other dogs, Rosie has done great with small/medium sized dogs Larger dogs can make her a bit curious and sometimes nervous. If there was a larger resident dog that was relaxed and respectful around smaller dogs, she may do okay! Rosie hasn't shown much interest in cats at the shelter and seems to be comfortable around them. Rosie is mostly house-trained and is accustomed to sleeping in her crate. She would make the best companion to someone who is home often and has time to dedicate to her. Rosie loves squeaky toys and playing fetch with a tennis ball. Rosie is a huge fan of zooming around outside, she is so fast! Is she your forever dog?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosie, a Michigan City Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Michigan City, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Michigan City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Michigan City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Michigan City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Michigan City paves the way for another one to be saved.
