My name is Eddy and lucky for me CAA Rescue and my Foster Dad came to save me from the pound I was sitting at.
I really was not doing well there at all as I was very anxious and nervous.
Originally I was picked up by animal control as a stray roaming the streets but eventually my family was located and they basically had no intentions of coming to get me so it was like I was double abandoned! First time when they booted me out of the house and the second time when they never came to pick me up
But you know what maybe things will be better for me now that CAA Rescue is in charge of my life. Maybe they will find me an amazing family who would love to love and protect me for all my days!
I can tell you I am having wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more fun with my foster dad than I even thought possible. There are other dogs in rescue both old and young so I always have someone to pal around with. I get along very well with all the dogs I have met while in CAA Rescue foster care.
I show no signs of possession or aggression at this time with CAA Rescue Foster
I do all my business outside and am great on car rides
I did live with cats in the home with my previous family but have not been tested with them since joining CAA Rescue
I do like to eat A LOT! So I need a quality diet and people who understand the term “Portion Control”!
I am a big boy tipping the scale at 100 lbs but I am a little fat and could stand to lose some weight but I think that will happen with my foster as we go for more walks and hikes in one day than I went on in one week with my previous family…. See they admitted to locking me up in a bathroom for long periods of time because I was destructive and a barker. Since being with my foster dad who has been regularly exercising me and mentally stimulating me I have not misbehaved at all. My previous family also admitted to not exercising me or spending very much time with me so I guess I was bored and frustrated and lonely
I do need more work with walking on the leash and basic commands to become a good and solid canine citizen.
I am looking for a family outside of the city with large breed experience who want to love this big teddy bear for all of his days!

At this time no home with children of any age will be considered for potential adoption of Eddy due to his previous history
If you would like to meet Eddy at her foster home in Lachute please write to CAARescue@gmail.com we will ask you to complete an adoption application so that we can learn a little more about you and if you are a perfect fit for Eddy we will make arrangements for you to meet him for potential adoption
A 3-Step process to adopt one of our foster dogs.
1. Fill the adoption form. It might seem long, but it’s the best way to find the right dog for you and your family!
2. We’ll arrange a meeting with the foster family of the dog you want to meet so you can see if s/he’s the right one for you.
3. If you decide to move forward, you’ll be asked to agree to a home visit, fill-in and sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.
