My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

GIGI is a seven-year-old grey and white female cat. Gigi’s former owner could no longer keep her, and you could see the loss in Gigi’s sad eyes: she was broken-hearted. Yet she remained hopeful, and even though the hectic pace of our shelter overwhelmed her, when a friendly visitor arrived Gigi’s purr could be heard from across the room. Gigi was placed in a loving foster home where she has blossomed into a lap cat that loves to curl up on the cat condo near the window, munch on tasty cat treats and enjoy the company of her human.
Gigi will do best in a calm and quiet environment with no other pets or small children. As she bravely attempts to come to grips with her new life and makes great progress in foster care, Gigi is still learning to trust that the world is now a safe and loving place.
Gigi’s foster mom reports that Gigi is a steadfastly loving cat that wants nothing more than to purr happily in your lap and make air biscuits. Gigi reminds you that life can be sweet in the simplest ways: she will gently tap you on the shoulder to remind you not to work too hard at the computer, and then flop on the floor for a blissful belly rub. After a summer of pampering (she loves to be brushed) and lots of love, Gigi’s fur shines and her eyes are bright.

Gigi is looking for Home, Sweet Home and yearns for all the love a kind and patient person can give. If you’re looking for a lap cat companion and purring machine, have we got the love for you!

At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, and testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV.
