Higgins and Harley were just puppies when they became brothers and best buddies — an unlikely pair growing up together in a loving family. They played together, slept together and always had each others’ backs. But now that their family’s living situation has turned on its head, we are looking for a new family who can let this dynamic duo stay together forever!
Some people would call Higgins a Gentle Giant but we call Higgins a Giant Goofball!! He might also be considered a Giant Shadow because wherever you are is his favorite place to be!. Higgins is a lumbering, affectionate boy - - a 5-pound lapdog in a 140-pound body — and if he can’t squeeze into your lap, he’ll lean into you with all 140 pounds!! After a beautiful deep bark to let you know someone is at the door, Higgins is happy to be the first one to introduce himself and show the new guest to the jewels — forget about a watchdog. There’s not a mean bone in this boy’s body!! He’s lived with kids and the elderly, and the amazing thing about him is how he just intuitively seems to know how to tailor his activity so as not to overwhelm those less steady on their feet. He’s free with kisses, is a total attention hog, and romps like a puppy when he gets in the mood. And be sure you put away your breakables: that long graceful tail is constantly wagging!
Higgins and Harley are “brothers from other mothers” and the best of friends, so we are looking for a home with hearts (and homes and cars) big enough to fit both of these happy kids. Higgins is 6 years young and Harley is 5 years young, they're purebreds and they're healthy as can be.
