*Please fill out an application at www.swesr.org* Daisy May is a spunky and outgoing 9 year young Llewellin Setter. We were told by her original owners that she came from Buckaroo Bondhu Kennels but she did not come with papers so we cannot verify this.

Daisy is fully house trained and crate trained. She has basic obedience, heel, sit, lay down, off and come commands. Daisy has been worked off leash in deserted/safe places and has a great come command on her. She is confident going out in public places and greets strangers nicely.

Daisy has sensitive skin, typical of English Setters. She came to us fully shaved, her hair has grown out beautifully, but she is sensitive when brushing.

Daisy loves attention and is very affectionate towards individuals. She needs a home where her person is dog-experienced, confident and will provide the direction and leadership so Daisy feels comfortable. She is not recommended to be in a home with children due to her touch sensitivity.

She is playful towards other dogs although she likes to be in control so she would not be a good match for a home with a strong alpha dog. She likes to be the more dominant dog and would do best with a less confident dog that would appreciate her leadership. Daisy has drive and has completed a lure course successfully several times. She’s not fast but she enjoys it. She needs a home with a secure fenced yard.

Daisy May is in a foster home in in Las Vegas NV. She has been living in the home with our trainer who will be available for in-depth discussions about Daisy. She is spayed, micro-chipped, current on vaccines, and on heartworm preventative. Are you the experienced home this sensitive and affectionate girl is waiting for?

About Lux Love Rescued

About Our Rescue Group...

The most common reason why dogs end up at shelters is lack of training. Lack of training can therefore create behavior problems which many times can lead to a reactive dog. Many people get a dog without realizing how much training is involved. Dogs do not come trained. Reactive dogs towards humans or other animals are killed by the thousands every day in shelters across the nation. Off-site (or in-home) rehab is the solution to this national tragedy. Rehab restores mental balance unlike training or behavior modification which Unlike training or behavior modification which focus on unwanted behaviors. Poor results are obtained when trying to rehab a dog in a shelter setting. Limited by cost, time and the distracting environment. Legal liability has also reared its ugly head as a major obstacle to dealing with unstable dogs and cats in shelters. Rehabbing a dog in-home can help remove this burden from shelters. Rehabbing prepares the dog to become adoptable to a forever home.
