My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

June 2017: Darla is here and doing wonderfully. She plays with the other dogs in her foster home and is loving life. She is making great progress on housetraining and crate training and will make a new family very happy! She is as sweet as she is beautiful! She loves her food and she really likes all the extras, sweet potato, egg, cottage cheese, and veggies - raw or cooked. She loves to play fetch and she plays hard with the big dogs in her foster home, especially Kendall, a Lucky Pup alum!

Darla is the most active of her siblings and needs a playful, fun family who is ready to tire her out and have some fun. She would likely excel at agility, dock dogs or flyball! What a cutie! We think a family with another active dog and some older kids would be an awesome match for her. We haven't seen her with younger kids, though in her southern foster home she met kids and did great!

Darla is 6 months old now and doing awesome! We would guess she is 30 lbs or so now.

Before they came to us this is what our rescue partners told us: the Little Rascal pups are as sweet as they are adorable. They are outgoing and friendly, and all of them are good with the other dogs in their foster home. They love children, and to rumble tumble with each other. They are already learning how to use the doggie door to go out. The pups will be 4 months old when they arrive in early April. Cotton is the biggest at around 30 lbs and the others are 20-25 lbs.

The rascals were in a home with two mama dogs that weren't spayed and gave birth about the same time so the owners didn’t even know which puppies belonged to which mama but they raised their puppies together so it didn’t matter at all! Since the females were allowed to roam the neighborhood no one knows who the dad(s) are to the babies. The moms appear to be Lab mixes possibly Lab/Terrier mixes. Whatever they are, they are 100 % adorable!

To learn more about Lucky Pup Rescue, please visit our website: www.luckypuprescue.org. If you have interest in any of our dogs, please fill out the application and we'll work with you to find a great match for your family: http://www.luckypuprescue.org/#!adoption-application/c1aw8.

Please note, we do not have a physical facility where our dogs are housed, they are cared for in our network of wonderful foster homes throughout New England. If you find a dog you would like to meet, our expectation is that, once approved, you will travel to meet the dog in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.

Thank you for considering rescue!
