Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jasper was found as a stray, and we were pleased to discover that he actually had a registered microchip! However, when the "owners" were contacted, they said they no longer wanted him, and surrendered him over to rescue. Poor Jasper! Well, we've assured him that we'll find him a REAL family this time, one that will never abandon him. Jasper, a min pin, is approximately 2 years old and acts very young and puppy-ish. He has beautiful white teeth, and his unusual light gray/whitish markings can resemble those of a senior's gray muzzle, but he is definitely a young dog. He does fine with kids and cats, and enjoys traveling. He's playful, but is a hardcore snuggler at heart. But when there are a lot of other dogs around, or when there's a lot of commotion, Jasper gets anxious and uncomfortable. So we think a calm, quiet home would be best for Jasper, perhaps with another dog who is chill and relaxed, and older children who aren't too boisterous. Jasper is house trained, but not crate trained (he prefers to "rearrange" crates). Oh, and Jasper has one other oddball requirement: he is TERRIFIED of people with facial hair! We explained to Jasper that HE has hair on his OWN face, but it didn't seem to make a difference. So, if you are bearded, but think Jasper is the right dog for you, please consider shaving for a while, at least until he feels safe, secure and loved.
