This boy is just Beautiful and the sweetest boy, this is Drake a beautiful purebred Weimaraner He is approx 70lb, he is 3 yrs old, and has beautiful Weimy features he is blessed with beautiful soulful eyes that just want to please If you are a Weimaraner Owner, and want a boy that needs you as much as you need him this is your boy,
Drakes Story )))) This is not a good one for the past 4 months this boy has been bounced around, We can only go back as far as December when Drake was placed in a Louisiana kill shelter, In January Drake was taken from the shelter and given to a veteran who was in hospital in Louisiana, The veteran brought him to Florida and after a conversation with a service org it was decided he didn't want Drake, He was then taken by a member of the org and re homed twice. No thought was put into the rehome and neither worked, his first home one of the owners didn't like him as he was not like the dog they just lost The second home was a home that was only used to small dogs so again Drake was moved for 3 weeks in boarding, We finally managed to get Drake into our Program, So this boy has been moved around far too much, Drake is now with us and it essential that Drake has a home with a Weimaraner family that truly understand the needs of our wonderful breed, Drake listens well and knows some commands he is the sweetest boy and is just looking for his special person that will love him and has time to invest in him. Drake needs love commitment stability and routine he is eager to please.
We are searching for a Weimaraner home preferably with not too many dogs Drake is not a pack dog he is a person dog he would be ok with a submissive female but because of his velcro tendancy he needs attention and can become a little dominant with certain males, He would be great as an only dog with his person, Drake loves to run and play he is a whizz with a football he is energetic and playful, and pure joy to watch, He knows commands and he is a good listener, he walks well on a leash and loves to ride in the car with you, He loves to snuggle on the sofa with you and will just soak up all the love, Drake has all the weimy traits and loves to sleep on your bed for cuddles, so if you don't want a Weim on your furniture Drake is not the boy for you. We are looking for a wonderful home for Drake a home that will give Drake love stability and security he needs, Drake will excel in a forever home with one to one attention,Like most Weimies he loves to be around humans and will follow you around,We are looking for a Weim family that dosent crate and preferably someone that is home most of the day we want someone that has time to invest in him.We are looking for a forever home that will cherish him and love him as much as we do, A family that is really stable and can give him that forever home that means forever we don't ever want to see this boy back in a shelter. A home with a fenced in yard or acreage or pool lanai where he can run and play and relax is essential we do not place our Weimaraners in Apartments condos or Town homes. NO CATS or small Dogs for Drake like most Weimaraners he has a prey drive and loves chasing the squirrels and wildlife, We do not place our Weimaraners with toddlers or small children not that they are not good with children but when you have a weimaraner you have another child, that demands as much attention, Disciplined Children over the age of 10 are acceptable, Drake is housebroken he is neutered, micro chipped and current on monthly preventative, He is however Heart worm positive and is being treated at the moment we are happy to transfer him to your vet to complete the course and we will pay for the treatment,
