Lucas's Story...
This beautiful long haired male is anything but a problem. Loving, sweet, a bit playful, but mostly just loves his people, is sweet as they come. Lucas is an adult male approximately 6 years old. He was abandoned in a parking lot, turned over to strangers, then unwanted by them after 2 years and he found himself homeless once again. With no behavior issues, Lucas just needs someone to fall madly in love with him, so he can return the favor! RVAS is looking for homes for life! We practice and support Cesar Millan's philosophy (National Geographic's The Dog Whisperer). Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucas, a Des Moines Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Des Moines, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Des Moines.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Des Moines already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Des Moines breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Des Moines paves the way for another one to be saved.
