Oscar's Story...
If anyone deserves an award it’s me…I mean, check me out, I’m handsome, smart, and talented. I can be serious and obedient when needed, or I can be goofy and comedic. Baby, I gots personality! Yep, I can see an Oscar in my future, for sure! I am willing to share the spotlight with other dogs, cats, and children, too. I just need someone to help guide me and give me more training so that I’ll have great manners backstage—I’ve got a pretty good start: I am already crate trained. Plus, I am a friendly and social fella…more than willing to sign a few autographs for my fans. So that about covers it, I am one stellar feller. And the Oscar goes to…Oscar! 8 months old-36lbs. My adoption fee is $220 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oscar, a Portland Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
