Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bambie is a beautiful calico who has quite a “Snow White and the Huntsman” story before becoming a PAWS cat. Bambie, along with her family members, were cared for by an old gentleman as community cats. Unfortunately the old gentleman passed away and left his beloved cats behind without any provision.
The surviving widow hates cat; so she called someone (aka our hero Huntsman Bob) to trap and remove all the cats from her property. “Huntsman Bob” saw Bambie in the trap and was touched by her gentle demeanor and her petrified deer-look.
Huntsman Bob called his rescue friends for help and after many phone calls and texts, Bambie ended up with PAWS.
Bambie was initially loaded with parasites but PAWS provided her with the much-needed TLC. Our little lady is now parasite-free and is adjusting well to a house-cat life. Because of her upbringing, Bambie remains skittish. She is afraid of sudden movement from anything around her and loud noises. She does not like changes. She hides when she is frightened. She will need a little time to warm up to people but when she does, she is a total love bug.
Bambie purrs as soon as she is petted. She loves to stay close to her people and she does not mind the company of a gentle, friendly feline. Bambies is not a lap cat but based on the way she acts, she definitely has the potential to become one. Bambie loves to have her cheeks and chin scratched and will invite belly scratches when she feels very affectionate. One has to be careful with the belly scratch though as Bambie can be nippy when she is over-stimulated; but they are relatively gentle love bites.
Bambie will do well in a quite mature home with no young children or other animal with a strong personality. She will do best with an adopter who has some experience with a skittish cat, who does not mind a cat who sheds more than an average short-haired cat.
