Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Here is CURIOUS GEORGE. CG is a 23 month old silver dapple. What a cutie! He is very playful and gives the typically dachshund warning if anyone comes to the door. He loves to sleep in his beanbag chair or watch out the window when he is not playing with his family. He likes to ride in the car and is very busy. He enjoys squeaky toys, but holds the record for time taken to remove or break the squeak. Balls and water bottles are his favorite chase/play toys.
He sleeps in his crate at night otherwise has the run of the house during the day. He has not spent much time outside except for walks or much time with any other animals. He has taken a couple of weekend trips with us and he goes into curious mode big time. He hardly sits still because he has to check out every nook and cranny. He has been a well loved inside dog.
Curious George is all up to date on the medicals (rabies, bordetella, DHPP, Advantage, neutered) and is looking particularly handsome with recent grooming and pedicure. He comes with a new leash and collar set, toys and blanket, dog food and a free exam card for his next appointment with our Doxie vet at Best Friends Veterinary Medical Center.
Perhaps if you are not quite ready or able to adopt, you might be willing to help our rescues pass their time in rescue by donating toys and long lasting chew bones. Or, have you considered becoming one of our treasured dog walkers? Any assistance would be appreciated! Just give us a call.
If thinking of adopting, please go to www.odr-inc.org and read our strict criteria and then complete our questionnaire and email it to us. We will be in touch with you as soon as we have the chance to review your application. The rescue hours for contact are 9am to 8pm. Thank you, Jenell 503-313-3220
