My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Queenie Chocolate | Female | Terrier X |

Rescue Story:
I have a unique story and a lot of it has to do with my mysterious past.
I was seized from an abandoned vehicle by the rcmp and held by a rural pound until I was available for adoption and then I was transferred to Zoe's and became their dog, legally free and clear.
I came in very skinny and sickly, with bad teeth and my body was very worn out - it was obvious I had far more than my fair share of puppies. My coat was thin and my skin dry and patchy.
I have been fixed and fully vetted and Zoe's has been working with my fear and anxiety.
I am on a special diet and am finally gaining some weight. My vet thinks I may be between five and eight years old.
Then a month after being in Zoe's care- they started receiving calls and texts and their volunteers started getting posts and comments on their personal fb pages saying Zoe's had stolen me and they were aggressively demanding they give me to two different people!
It was a little scary.
Zoe's pulled down my profile and started trying to figure things out.
Was I the same dog as these people claim?
Zoe's doesn't know - they know I look somewhat similar to pictures the people posted and that is about it.
The people said they had only just noticed their dog was missing from the people they had left her with. They said that their dog had a microchip, when Zoe's told them I didn't come in with one, they suddenly remembered their dog didn't have one after all.
Confused? Zoe's was too.
Zoe's suggested they apply to adopt me.
They have received nothing.
So - Zoe's has decided to give me my very own chance at my own family and future!

Date of Birth: 2011
Energy Level: Medium

Size (adult): Medium
Good with Dogs? Yes
Good with Cats? Unknown, So far I ignore kitties from afar.
Good with Kids? Yes, Only older kids in my new home, please.

Critter Twitter:
I am a lovely girl who would do well in a calm, structured setting. I love walks and do well on a leash. I am not very big, only about thirty pounds and I think should be in a home without small children and without other animals - although honestly I do tolerate cats at a distance (so far) and enjoy on leash walks with other dogs.
I am doing fantastic! I respond well to being on my own. I'm not destructive and I'm eager to please. Mostly I get anxious if there is too much change or anxiety around me. I am a lovely girl who is opening up to my foster family and longs to find my own furever family. Apply to adopt me today. #hardknocklife #kissesunlimited

About my Behaviour:
I am looking for a foster or a foster to adopt home and will provide appropriate force free training for me and need my humans to help me work with my fear of people and my anxieties.
I need an adopter who will take the time to gently guide me out of my shell and enjoy the life that a loving family can give.
I have a bit of a sensitive tummy, so I am on some special food for that.

How’s my Health?
I am spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped.
