Frosty's Story...
Frosty wants nothing more than to curl up in your lap and snore the night away with you while you enjoy a movie or 3.

Frosty is a 2 year old English Setter mix, he is house and crate trained and has no problem easily learning other commands. He is very food motivated and loves snacks and will endeavor to do anything you ask to get one.

He is not food aggressive with either humans or other dogs. In fact he simply waits patiently or eats around your finger gently.

He also likes to test everyone else's food if given the chance. While he does not beg at the table, he does like to warm your feet while you eat.

Frosty is a 40 pound dog with the spirit of a puppy in him, he loves to run, jump, bounce off of trees, play with other animals and fetch is one of his favorite games. However he doesn't know he is 40 pounds so to him your lap is the perfect place for him to sit and fall asleep on his back.

This also means he can sometimes be so excited to meet a smaller human or animals that he runs right up to them and can scare them, but all he has is sniffs and licks for them. He has never once shown even a glimmer of aggression.

The family that takes home Frosty is definitely a lucky family!

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where dogs can be seen during the week. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Frosty, a Cincinnati English Setter dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Setter for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a English Setter dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Setter breeders who help with English Setter rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
