My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**PLEASE READ TO THE END FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION.**

Watch out world, here comes Thurman, all 3.2 lbs of him!!! Thurman is approximately 10 years old and is the most well-mannered, loving, handsome and kind little man you will ever meet. He is potty trained (he will not use potty pads) and will not mark in the house. Outside, though, he will pee on everything! Thurman came to us with a shattered pelvis, unable to urinate or defecate on his own, unable to walk or even feed himself. Two short months later, he is doing wonderfully and is back to being a normal dog. Thurman will always be a little wobbly and weak in his back legs, but he gets stronger and more balanced every day. He uses the stairs to get onto and off of the couch and the bed. He sleeps in his pen on his heated bed every night. Thurman does not bark often, but when he does, he sounds like a screaming goat. He gets along great with other small dogs. He is just the best and bravest little old man, and we adore him. If there were not so many dogs in need and such dire shortage of foster space, Thurman would have a permanent home with his foster mom. Thurman is ready to move on to his forever home so we can saving the next little one. No large dogs, no small children. This is just because Thurman is so small and fragile. He needs love and someone to give him lots of attention and lap time.

Thurman is part of our 2nd Chance Seniors program, meaning his adoption fee will be waived with an approved application by an awesome person or family. If you would like to adopt Thurman, please fill out an application at www.TexasChihuahuaRescue.com.
