Tink is a 6-year-old little lady who has been a hard nut to crack. She came in to us very fearful, almost feral, and high heartworm positive. After months of heartworm treatment and foster love, she is now ready for adoption. The ways of the streets will always be with Tink. You can see it in her face. She is always hyperaware of her surroundings, has a worrisome look on her face, and is always ready to run! Tink is a runner. If the door is open, that is it, she is gone. We have chased this dog for more than 2 hours at a time. She has been with 3 fosters because everyone is terrified of losing her. Tink needs a special home with a Fort Knox backyard and a Tink-proof front entrance.
While she has some baggage, Tink also has so many amazing qualities. Once she gets to know you, she is loyal and loving and wants to be by your side or in your lap. She is good with other dogs. She crates well and has good potty manners. She is not a yapper. We know this 7 lb cutie can be a bit much to care for, but we are confident we can find her a good home with the love and understanding along with the vigilance that she needs to have a safe and happy life.
If you would like to adopt Tink, please fill out an application at www.TexasChihuahuaRescue.com. Her adoption fee, including vetting paperwork, microchip registration to adopter, collar & harness, is $200.
