Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Jill!
Lab Mix
Currently 40 lbs.
DOB 12/1/2015
The nursery rhyme goes, that Jack fell down and broke his crown and Jill came tumbling after. Well, we aren't sure if our Jill actually tumbled or not, but at some point in her puppy life, she broke her leg in several places. When she got to rescue, the vets took several looks at her leg and determined the best course of action would be to remove it. Jill is much more playful and happy without the leg that was in such disrepair.
Jill is an amazing dog! She's fully housebroken. She walks well on a leash and has absolutely no restrictions with her leg, she gets around just fine! One of Jill's favorite things to do is play fetch in the yard, and she is FAST!
Jill does well with other dogs also does well with the cat in her foster home. She plays rough. Her foster dad says that she is a well behaved house guest and she loves to get attention from adults and children.
Jill would do best in a home where someone is around all day to keep her company. She is a loyal dog who will be glued to your side all day. She is great off leash and will stay right in your yard.
Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.
We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email safehavendogsIL@yahoo.com for an application or additional details.
Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.
Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family.
