MEET JESSIE….a fun, happy, senior girl, who just wants to be loved. Jessie is black/white, 11 lbs, about 10 yrs old or perhaps a little older Shih Tzu mix. When she was at the SEAACA shelter, she was in full coat and they shaved her to the bone before we got her. She had totally rotten teeth and wasn’t feeling too good….we took her to the vet, spayed her, and pulled her remaining teeth and now she eats like a pro and wags her tail to let you know she approves. She has limited sight, but she sees distance and looks at you with loving eyes! Jessie would be a dog for a mature home that just wants to provide love and affection to her in her golden years. We have a 19 yr old Lhasa, so it is possible that Jessie will live many more years! The breeds do live long into their teens. The sad part for these babies is that they are abandoned at the most important time in their lives — when they have given their all to their people….and then, left alone. We want to make sure that Jessie has the best golden years possible….she is a lap warmer and a heart jerker! Please give Jessie a chance 🙂
