Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Miffy, spayed female,9 months old,37 Lbs.
Miffy is a smart and loving dog, playful and easy going. She loves to play with both dogs and people, and can get along with any age group. She adjusts really well , and in a new environment she is not nervous but rather fit in quite easily.
Miffy is a bit sensitive to pain. When facing some big or rough movement towards her, she would yelp and whimper. However, she would not bite, and would settle down when realized that the person means no harm. We figure that she probably was mistreated or abused in the past, hence such reaction of fright.
Since she is still young, she is very energetic, but when she is tired out a bit, she would lay herself down quietly by our side.
Such is our Miffy--loving, innocent, playful, smart. You would love her too once you get to know her, just as how she loves us.
Rescue Story
One hot summer day. While taking pictures of a foster dog at a dog park, our volunteer spotted 3 month old Miffy, dog collar on neck, running around in the big dog area. It was getting dark, and most people and dogs had left the park, leaving Miffy there alone. Not knowing whether she was separated from her owner or was deliberately abandoned, our volunteer stayed with her for a long time waiting for the owner to show up. When that did not happen, she took Miffy home for the night, and brought her back to the park the next day, hoping that her owner would be searching for her. When that did not happen either, she decided to take Miffy and hope to find a new home for her.
