Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Rusty,
I was a stray and a nice man turned me in to the Ark. When I arrived I had a hurt leg (ACL), but what was worse I was Heartworm positive. Thanks to the Ark I was being treated and are now Heartworm negative, and was able to go under to get my leg operated on, to make a long story short, I had to get my second ACL fixed shortly after. Darn holes in the ground.
I am a slender tall Shepard and LOVE everyone. The phrase gentle giant comes to mind. If you are looking for a Shepard and want to meet me, come to the Ark and ask for Rusty. If you REALLY like me and want to adopt, I am now ready to go home,
I will be waiting for you!
Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a secure fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs.
