4/3/17 - My name is Max - no longer accepting applications

Max is a 1 & 1/2 year old male greyhound mix. He is a graduate of the paws in prison program has also passed his canine good citizenship exam. He's great with all people all of ages and good with other dogs and cats.

We are proud to announce that this pup has graduated the Arkansas Department of Correction’s Paws in Prison Program. The program is a partnership with animal shelters and rescue groups. Selected inmates, under the guidance of professional dog trainers, work with rescue dogs, teaching them basic obedience skills and properly socializing the animals.

Canine applicants to the program undergo testing to ensure that they are a good candidate and, once accepted, remain in the program for 6-8 weeks. Graduates from the Paws in Prison Program will be provided with their training notebook which contains information about their skills, commands and progress through the program.


The adoption fee of $425 includes age-appropriate vaccines, initial de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, microchip, USDA interstate health certificate (for transport only) and transport fee.
