My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Reo
Breed: Toy poodle
Gender: Male
Age: 7 months
Weight: 7.5 lbs.
Fur: Soft black coat of curls that are non-shedding(Dry skin)
Activity Level: Medium to high
Any medical issues? Dry skin remedy to treat him at home

Reo is sweet, gentle and good natured. He is making wonderful progress and is gaining confidence when meeting new people. He is all puppy, very playful and bouncy. Reo loves playtime, walks, and going places like the dog park with his people. He also thrives on being with people and will stick to you like velcro. Reo is very eager to please and he comes when he is called, at a full run, skidding to a stop right in front of you. Reo is good with his potty habits and is a quick learner. Reo is a great snuggler and will crawl up into your lap or cuddle close by your side.

Reo was rescued from a high-volume/high-kill shelter where he was brought in stray. He is very healthy and ready for his new forever loving home today!

Reo are neutered, up to date on vaccinations.Dewormed, Defleaed and professionally groomed. He is currently under foster care in group setting in Korea. We plan on bringing him to Northern Virginia in late April upon finding a forever family for them.
Adoption fee: $475

Prior to rescue, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization and it takes time for them to learn about life as a family pet. Common skills such as house training and leash walking may often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience.
We typically do not adopt to homes with children under 8 years old.
A home check is mandatory before adoption.

We adopt to residents of Northern VA and Washington DC suburbs only.

If interested in Reo, please email us with a little info about you, your family, your other pets, your experience as a dog owner (which breed, etc.), where you live (which city, home or apt?), etc. including telephone number. Thank you.

*** About us ***
Hope For Donghae Paws(HDP) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to bringing rescue dogs from Korea to the US and finding permanent homes for them. It is true there are many animal lovers in Korea, but still many dogs suffer and are killed for food.
Our mission is to find US homes for mixed-breed dogs whose chances of being adopted in their native Korea are very low.
