Pippi's Story...
Meet our sweet little Pippi! She is about 2 years old and weighs 10 pounds. She is a Chihuahua mix that is as sweet as can be. She is a cuddle bug that loves everyone and everything. She is a little shy at first, but it doesn’t take long for her to become your best buddy. She loves to run and play or just chill on the couch and snuggle in your lap. If you are looking for a little dog who can be your constant companion, our little Pippi may be the one for you.

**All Compassion in Action dogs must be adopted by families willing to have their pets be a part of their family and must be allowed inside—especially at night. No dog is allowed to be put on a “tie-out” or chain outside and should be walked on a leash when not in a fenced yard.

**All Compassion in Action dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations prior to adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pippi, a Harrisonburg Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
