Heaven's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Heaven's Story...
Meet Heaven! Heaven is new here, so our caretakers are still learning about her personality. She is a few months shy of 3-years-old, currently weighs 80lbs and was brought to us when her owner's living situation changed. Though she has not been with us long, our kennel staff cannot say enough great things about this sweet girl! She will rub up on your legs practically begging for love and belly rubs. She is said to get along with other dogs, however we are not yet sure how she is with cats or kids. As we get to know her, we will let you know. Could you be the one to get her back into a home again?

Heaven is available and able to have applications submitted once you've met. For more information, please give us a call at (302) 571-0111 or visit us at our center (701 A Street Wilmington, DE) Tuesday-Friday 12-7pm or Saturday & Sunday 12-5pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Heaven, a Wilmington Mixed Breed (Large) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mixed Breed (Large) for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Mixed Breed (Large) dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mixed Breed (Large) breeders who help with Mixed Breed (Large) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
