Holden's Story...
Holden is currently living in a foster home in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.

I am a handsome 6 month old puppy who currently weighs 45 pound. I am a very affectionate and laid-back kind of guy! I am a mix breed of Australian Cattle Dog, Great Dane, and German Shepherd. I am great with other dogs and enjoy lounging with my people. I have a sweet and sensitive personality so I prefer the company of older children over small kiddos, but don't have a mean bone in my body! I would do best in a home with a fellow dog as a companion. I am working on leash training, but do great on kennel training and house training!

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once
approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please note that preference is given to adopters in
Wisconsin, but out of state adoptions will be considered. Adoption fee is $250.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Holden, a Fort Atkinson Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Fort Atkinson, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog puppy from a breeder in Fort Atkinson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Atkinson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Atkinson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Atkinson paves the way for another one to be saved.
