My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jake is a Shepherd Mix Age 4 Neutered, up to date on vaccinations, flea, tick prevention and is microchipped.

Jake is heartworm positive and we are treating via slow kill. We will provide meds and explain treatment. If you are still interested in Adoption we ask that you consult with your Vet to see if they are on board with slow kill treatment so that Jake can continue with his treatment plan.

Jake was Rescued from a High Kill Shelter on his Last Day. He is a Miracle Dog because of overcoming severe neglect and possible abuse from his former owners Jake just keeps on Shining like the Star that he truly is! He came into Rescue emaciated and needed a lot of TLC. Now that he has put weight on still needs to gain atleast 10 to 15 more pounds he is healthy enough and Ready for his forever home. Jake loves to snuggle on the sofa, and loves to play fetch. He is crate trained and very well behaved. He is friendly towards everybody he meets, good around other dogs but he does get upset if they try to take his toys. Children over the age of 6 would be fine. Unsure about how he would be around small animals but he will chase them if they are afraid and will run, high prey drive however he listens well so with proper introductions he maybe okay.

If you would like to offer this sweet boy his forever home and family or need additional information regarding our adoption process please email me direct on luvgermansheps@yahoo.com or submit an online application via our website www.k-9services.net go to Adoption Application page.
An application needs to be completed prior to arranging a meet and greet.

All dogs in rescue are temperament tested and have basic obedience implemented as a part of their daily routine. All behavioral issues are dealt with according to each case scenario. All dogs prior to going home are up to date on all vaccinations, spayed and or neutered. Application, home-check, and references must be approved prior to final adoption.
