My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tank is a great big crazy Olde English Bulldog. He is a lot of fun and has a BIG personality. Tank had some guarding tendencies when we first brought him into rescue but seems to be doing much better with medication (prozac) and the training he has received. Tank would do best in a home where people understand the breed and their quirks and no small children or small pets. Tank is doing well training in his training in New Leash on Life at Gaston Correctional. FurBabies is in partnership with The NC Department of Public Safety and the New Leash on Life Program and Tank was in the most recent training class. It is a WIN/WIN/WIN... A WIN for the Inmates because they have the opportunity to work with the animals, which gives them a purpose and an opportunity for employment when they are released from prison, a WIN for the dog because it learns all of the commands to earn it’s Canine Good Citizenship Certificate which is the first step in becoming a therapeutic dog and most schools, nursing homes and other locations allow dogs with Good Citizenship Training to be a part of programs at their facilities, and of course a WIN for the new owner who get and absolutely amazing highly trained rescue dog.
